Alison Crowther,
catalogue and visual identity
Alison Crowther is a sculptor and furniture maker who works mainly with English Oak. Guided by the grain, medullary rays and annual rings, her carving forms winding, organic structures. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and has received a number of substantial commissions including the Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard in London and the Rothschild Foundation.
The catalogue is a portfolio of Alison Crowther’s work. Photos of wood structures, found in her sculptures, were printed in four spot colours and used as full-page illustrations. They were combined with subtle duotone photos from Alison Crowther’s workshop. Pencil drawings, printed on transparent overlays, make the artist’s process visible.
Business cards were printed in two of the spot colours from the catalogue.
